Our members make a visible difference by serving as community leaders and using their experience to create positive and lasting change. Membership in the League of Women Voters, the most respected and effective grassroots organization in the country, is open to people age 16 and older. Your participation gives the League the power of the people needed to build a voice for citizens and a force for change.
- Join LWV Anderson County so you can be an informed citizen
- Be a Voter Registrar at high school, college or other community events
- Help publicize League activities and actions on social media
- Be an Election or Poll Watcher
- Recruit and engage members of the League
- Attend meetings of local governments bodies; watch and report on their actions
- Participate in candidate forums as a trained moderator or by taking care of behind-the-scenes logistics
- Assist with student mock elections for high school students
- Write letters to your representatives, local newspapers, and for LWV Anderson County’s Updates about issues you care about and what’s affecting your community
- Lead in advocacy roles for key issues on a local, state, or national basis
- Be a part of LWV Anderson County’s leadership team and help steer the future of the League
- Make meeting and speaker arrangements for League events
